Since our company’s beginning in 1983, we have been dedicated to our customers’ complete satisfaction. We have lived through every stage of the shift towards global communications. Before the Internet had evolved to a recognized level, in 1995 we were powering ahead, launching one of Ohio’s first ISP’s and hosting operations. That was just the beginning.
Developing an Industry
In 1999, our founder Martin Horan recognized the need for an FTP hosting specialty company. After 15 months of careful planning, FTP Today became the first to build and directly market the technology of online managed file transfer via FTP and related protocols. We quickly made it to the top of our industry and today we remain the company that all others follow.

Reinvesting in Intellectual Property
By mid-2008 our founder made the commitment to plow a significant portion of our revenue and profits toward developing our own control panel and a feature-rich FTP server application suite. Over the following year and a half, we built our proprietary hosting platform and environment from the ground up and launched it on March 4, 2010.
We continue to reinvest 15% of our revenue into making constant improvements in our SaaS FTP product and are adding new features regularly.
