The focus of FTP Today's business is on Private User-Authenticated FTP and not on Anonymous FTP.
Anonymous FTP is most commonly used for free downloads of software by the masses. You can imagine what a strain massive amounts of simultaneous downloads can put on a server. Such a strain could adversely affect other customers of FTP Today who are paying for the guarantee of unlimited transfer and service reliability. For this reason, all FTP Today sites have anonymous FTP disabled by default and we have a strict policy against the use of anonymous FTP or any resemblance of mass distribution.
That being said, there are rare cases when FTP Today management may authorize the use of anonymous FTP by one of its customers. Of course, since this customer now needs bandwidth isolation from our other customers, management will likely quote a considerable additional cost for this if allowed.
If you require anonymous FTP, you will need to contact management for careful consideration.
