Nightly Data Replication Complete File System Copied Even though our redundant storage systems offer protection from system failures, FTP Today does not stop there. Built for Disaster Recovery Just in case a server has a more serious failure than reduncancy already protects, every FTP server is further protected by a nightly file system replication. We replicate the entire file system, including all your user FTP data, to another server in the middle of the night (starting at 4:00 AM Eastern time). This means that in the event of a disasterous hardware failure we can restore your data to the point where it was as of 4:00 AM the previous day as fast as a new server can be put on line. Built for Privacy and Regulatory Compliance Please note that this backup is non-retentional and is not intended to allow you to go back several days to recover files that were accidentally deleted by your staff or your end users*. If a file is deleted during the day, that file is also removed from the replicated system that night. Zero retention and no off site backups is a standard requirement of many of the industries that we serve, for example those companies under HIPAA regulations must be assured that for privacy reasons their data is kept safe and is not copied to tapes that are carried off site or retained for several days after the original file is deleted. | |||||
